I Love This Glitter Paste!

I decided to try one of my new products on a card today.

The sparkle on the flower (center and petals) is a product called Bo Bunny Glitter Paste. I painted it on with a small paint brush. It was very easy to use and give a nice glittery look that doesn't rub off. I'm impressed!

Plant Seeds of Friendship

I love flower stamps... and I own a lot of them! Today's card features one of them (CTMH Friendship Bouquet). I actually made ten of these cards - they are for a card swap group.

I also made a coordinating envelope for this card:

Here's the inside:

I also had an "oops" among the creating... I accidentally cut the paper too short. Note to self: Measure twice; cut once. So I adapted it a bit... and have another card to send to someone.

Card Kit Cuties #9

If you've been following along, I've been doing catch up with making cards from kits I received in a card kit group. You can see #1-8 by clicking HERE.

Today I'll show you two cards I made with a travel-themed kit that I received from Darlene. She sent a GREAT assortment of goodies - lots and lots of images (in different colors of ink), two 6 X 6 paper pads (the whole pad!), ribbon, charms, brads, and more. THANK YOU, Darlene!

Card #1

Card #2

The only thing I used other than what was in Darlene's kit was some Recollections 110# Cream Cardstock and some Stampin' UP! Night of Navy Cardstock.

Chickies Post #1

I'm part of a group known as the Creative Card Chicks on SCS. Every month one of the members mails a little envelope of goodies to the others and we create. We are supposed to post our project on the 21st through the 23rd of the month... so here we go.

Month #1

Suzy was our hostess and she chose to use the old/retired Stampin' UP! set called Betsy the Beekeeper. She also included embossed cardstock, designer papers, flower punched flowers, sequins, ribbon and cord. Lots of stuff to choose from. THANK YOU, Suzy!

Here's the card I made:

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

The only thing of my own that I used for this card was cardstock - Recollections Black and Stampin' UP! Bordering Blue.

I colored the images with Copic Markers and a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Marker.

I Love You This Much...

Oh. my. goodness. I have waited... and waited.......... with GREAT excitement for this day to come. It is a VERY SPECIAL DAY!

The JessicaLynnOriginal design team has some great things to show you in today's blog hop... so if you have arrived here from Sharon's blog, you're at the right spot. If not, be sure to go back to the beginning and hop along with us.

You may not know it, but JessicaLynnOriginal makes custom stamps - you choose what you want and she creates it for you at a reasonable price. Isn't that so cool!!?!?!??!? To highlight this service, Jessica (the owner) created a custom stamp for each member of her design team.... we got to choose what we wanted!  Today we're going to show you our stuff.

First, some background. I have 3 children who are now adults. From the time they were quite young, I had a little tradition I did with them. I'd stretch my arms just as wide as they could go and tell them "I love you this much and more." To this day, my great big Brock will say the same thing to me, which just melts my heart. (He's my 30-year-old, 6-foot-tall autistic son.)

So, I asked Jessica to create a stamp for me with that saying on it. She did... and I love it!!!

This stamp meets my approval!!!

Let me show you some things I have already done with my stamp...

Card #1

Card #2

Card #3
(this one is my favorite!)

Card #4
(I created my own designer paper with watercolors)

The inside holds a gift card:

Card #5
(I used the stamp to make the designer paper)

I also plan to use my stamp sometimes to decorate the outside of the envelope when mailing a card to my other son or my daughter.

I see so much potential for my stamp.

Jessica, THANKS again for making me the proud owner of one of your custom stamps!

Now, be sure to hop on over to Vickie's blog to see what she has for you. Hers is the last blog on the hop.

Oh and just in case you get lost along the way (or there's a glitch in the hop), here's the entire blog hop list...

Jeanette - that's me

Peek at My Week

It's Friday - well, it is now that you're reading this. When I put this post together, it was Wednesday. LOL! Then, on Thursday night in a hotel after a l-o-n-g day of driving, I edited this post.  Now that you're reading this I am hundreds of miles from home.

Speaking of my long day of driving.... something amazing happened. Take a look at my odometer...

Yes, my car reached 100,000 miles on May 19 at 12:46 PM (CST).

So, what else has been happening this week? Whew! It has been a busy one. In anticipation of being gone for a week or more, I had lots of cards that needed to be made - a swap of 10, design team responsibilities, etc. I made 25 cards this week - and that was Saturday through Wednesday. Just think what I could have accomplished with 7 days. LOL! (BTW, I also put together 11 blog posts on Wednesday so things would run smoothly here in blogland while I'm gone.)

Here's one of the cards I made this week:

It's a wobble-head kitty. I made it for my great niece (she just finished 3rd grade). She just so happens to have a grey kitty.

I also started a 21-Day Challenge this week; the purpose is to equip us - and MOTIVATE us - to share our faith stories with people we come in contact with. Each day we read 3 or so pages and have some questions to answer. AND we are encouraged each day to tell our story to someone we encounter. I've learned some things about myself this week and I've also "owned up to" some things I already knew about myself. For instance, I know I'm not good at Scripture memorization... so I'm working on memorizing 2 Peter 1:3 - "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." I am trying to be a good steward of what He has given me... and one way is through telling my story when opportunities arise.

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Please be sure to come back tomorrow for a VERY VERY SPECIAL blog post!!!
