Gemini Rose

The Mystery Image group on SCS received a gorgeous rose image from Sonja with instructions on how to color it - each of us are to color our image with the recipient's specifications as given by Sonja. I am to mail my card to Tracie, and the rose is to be colored liked a Gemini Rose. For those who don't know, the Gemini Rose is a creamy white color with a tinge of pink on the edges of the petals.

Thank you for a beautiful image to work with, Sonja, and for a fun challenge.

Here is the card I made:

The Creative Card Chicks group on SCS was hosted this month by Debby. She sent us a beautiful kit of items and asked us to make a square card as well as one other card (if we had time).

Thank you for a great kit, Debby! I loved the Inkadinkado image you sent!

Dog Days

It's time to duel - Dueling Darlings style!

LJ and Darlene are the hosts this month... so they chose a theme and sent out card kits to their team members (LJ to the Divas and Darlene to the Dazzlers).

I have NO idea what the theme is... since I'm on a trip and had to put the blog post together before the information was sent out. I also don't have any manufacturer information for the items in the awesome kit that Darlene sent. But that's okay... because I had fun making my card. Darlene put so many goodies in the kit. THANK YOU  Darlene!

Here's my card:

I absolutely LOVE those paw prints! I wanted to hoard them (but I didn't)... I am going to be keeping my eyes open when I go shopping and try to find some to purchase.

Here's the inside:

Please be sure to head over to the Divas and Dazzlers blogs and see what they made, too. You can find links in my left sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

The only thing I used on my card other than items in Darlene's kit was some Recollections Ivory Cardstock.

Instead of a Peek at My Week post today, I have a special card to reveal. Today is the day the Unidentified Image swap is due, so we can now show what we made. Terry, the hostess, sent us a darling image - Art Impressions Cupcake BFFs.

Here's the card I made:

And just in case anyone is interested about my week... this is VBS week, so I've taught Bible study to school age children every evening and have a great time doing it! We've been SUBMERGED in God's Word.

I've also made 23 cards this week.

Color My World

I think the 9th might be my favorite day each month. Know why? Because that's the day that the Three Musketeers (Barb, Kelly, and I) share what we've made with the image that one of us has sent to the others. Three cards made with the same image - so much alike and yet so different!

If you don't know who/what the Three Musketeers are, click HERE to see all of my previous Three Musketeers posts.

This month it was my turn to choose/send the image. I used a stamp that I've owned for quite some time but never used - Stamping Bella's Painter Meg. I think she's a darling... I wish I could say the same thing about my card. I'm not very happy with it, but I can say I love Painter Meg.

Here's my card:

I added some Clear Pico Embellisher to the paint (on the paint can and the paint brush) to make it look more like paint.

Here's the inside:

Please be sure to head over to Barb's blog and
Kelly's blog to see what they did with Painter Meg.

We are the Three Musketeers!

One More Scoop

I received the digi set for the From the Heart Progressive Challenge and immediately fell in love with one of the sentiments in the set.

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/shop/easter-spring-and-summertime/274-ice-cream-lineup.html

I printed the sentiment I wanted to use on white paper and then sponged three different colors of Tim Holtz Distress Inks onto it.

I dug around in my scrap file and found some really fun designer paper that I thought would go great with the sentiment, so I decided to go with that idea.

This is the card I made:
