A Floral Hello

Our Daily Bread is an AMAZING stamp company. They have some of the very best Christian-themed stamps on the market. And the quality.WOW! I should know... because I am the proud owner of many ODB stamps.

For instance, I own the gorgeous Coneflower stamp. I used it to make this card...

Not only is the Coneflower beautiful, it is so easy to color! AND... you can even stamp it on the envelope to make sending/giving this card extra special...

Here's the inside of my card:

Iris Beauty

WOW! We just finished up a challenge at One Stitch at a Time - it was an "Anything Goes with Elements of Nature" Challenge... and it had some FANTASTIC entries. In my opinion it was some of the best entries we've had at OSAAT in quite some time. So imagine my excitement today as we begin a new challenge... yes, I'm excited to see what amazing entries we'll have this time.

I hope you will participate - and WOW me!

I used the StitchyBear Digi Outlet Coosty Creations Iris image to make my card. It comes in both black and white versions and pre-colored. I used the pre-colored image because, quite truthfully, I could never EVER color this well, no matter how hard I tried...

Peek at My Week

I. am. tired.

'nuf said?

It has been a week of meetings - some of them stressful; some of them enjoyable. A lot has been accomplished. That is a good thing.

The most recent meeting took place last night. It was a Missions Christmas in July meeting. I even put up a Christmas tree for the decorations.

My International Christmas Tree

Every ornament on it is from a country other than the United States. Some of them I've acquired on the ten international mission trips I've been on. Some have been given to me by others who have traveled abroad. Some are World Craft items. Each one is special!

The sombrero on top of the tree came from Mexico. My parents visited there and I asked them to bring me a sombrero. My dad was skeptical - he didn't think the tree could support it, but it does. I love my sombrero!

In addition to my many meetings (and regular stuff like laundry, meal prep, cleaning, etc), I've made 20 cards this week. That makes me happy.

SCORE TIME: Would I give this week a “thumbs up” or a “thumbs down”?

I loved the color scheme of the selection of designer papers Barb sent.......... and I thought the sentiment was such fun!

It's No Longer a Mystery

The Mystery Image Card Swap was due a couple of days ago (but I've had design team things on my blog the past two days). Therefore I am just now ready to reveal y Mystery Image card.

Barb is the hostess. She live very VERY close to the Whipper Snapper store (I'm so jealous!) so she has lots of really cute Whipper Snapper stamps. She chose one of them for the image we used - Patriotic Owl.

Barb, I hope you'll like my card. Here it is...

Joy Without Coloring

I love to color! But for this card I used a pre-colored image.

I did that for a few reasons.

1. I needed to make a card fast.
2. The colors of the pre-colored image were vibrant and beautiful
3. I wanted to try adding some "sparkle" to the pre-colored image.

So, even though I didn't color on this card, I had fun making it for the {PIN}Spirational Challenge.

July 19 - August 1
I  hope you'll participate!

The photo for our {PIN}Spiration:

The images I used on my card (front and inside) were donated by Imagine That Digis. THANK YOU!

Puppy Love

We do not have any pets. Our daughter regrets that we do not - and never have had - a dog. She loves puppies! So I tend to gravitate toward dog stamps. The one I used for today's cards (yes, I made 2) was just too cute to pass up.

Card #1

After making this card for my daughter, I decided to make another card for a special friend.

Card #2

We Have a Plan

The JessicaLynnOriginal design team is showcasing a BRAND NEW planner set today. WOW! There is just so much to love about this set, whether you use a planner or not.

JLO Food & Fitness Calendar Planner stamp set

In Jessica's words, "The goal is to inspire everyone to take the first steps and planning out meals and Fitness or at least getting a calendar/ planner going."

So the design team was encouraged to create different ways that the stamp set can be used.

I have three projects. The first one is a card I made using three of the stamps from the JLO Food & Fitness Calendar Planner stamp set - 2 of them on the front of the card and one inside.

I think the card would be perfect to send to someone who is preparing to do a biking event.

My second project is a recipe card I made using one of the stamps in the stamp set, but using it twice.

My third project is another card, but this time I only used a sentiment from the JLO stamp set. I wanted to show how we can find great sentiments from these planner stamp sets to use in our regular card-making.

Now you don't want to just check out my blog, you also want to check out the other DT members blogs. Why? Because they have FABULOUS things to show you, but also because IF you comment on my blog and each of theirs, too, you have a chance of winning this GREAT JessicaLynnOriginal Food & Fitness Calendar Planner stamp set. Jessica is going to give one away to one lucky person.

Here are the design team member's blogs:

Jessica (owner of JLO)
Jeanette (that's me)
